13th December 2006 Windsurfing: Farmoor Reservoir Wind Direction: WSW Wind Stength: F5-F6 Surf / Sea State: wavey ~~~~ Air Temperature: 10 Sea Temperature: Weather: proper windy Max Speed: Distance Covered: Started off on the Techno 2 and a 6m. Wind was steadilly building and filled in nicely after about 1/2 an hour so switched to the Techno E I love this board ;-) Blasted for about an hour then wind picked up another notch (my anemometer was reading 23Knots) so rigged a 5.5 and went back out. blasted for another couple of hours (sometimes overpowered) and had a wicked time. I tink the wind steadilly picked up as the OSC website was quoting 29mph whatever that is in knotts (more than 23?) Best session on the reservoir so far. Could have been out on a waveboard easily - but didn't bring one ;-( Wind went a bit lame (dropped off big time) around 3pm so decided to call it a day. Oh well, the Techno E served me well in the end. |
